As the sun began to rise over the clear water of Siargao, I felt a sense of anticipation bubbling within me. Today was the day we would start on our island hopping adventure, exploring the hidden gems scattered across the pristine waters of this tropical paradise. There are so many awesome things to do on Siargao Island but one of the most popular activities is to get off the island and go island hopping from Siargao. There are three beautiful islands only a short long tail boat trip away from General Luna, wich the tourist part of Siargao. Guyam Island, Daku Island and Naked Island are the Three stops along the tour, which includes pick up, drop off, and a seafood lunch.

With our bags packed and sunscreen slathered on, we made our way to the dock where our boat awaited us. As we boarded the traditional Filipino outrigger boat, known as a bangka, I couldn't help but marvel at its vibrant colors and intricate designs. We managed to do the island-hopping in reverse of the usual order to avoid the crowds and stay on Nkaed Island until sunset. We were the only boat at both Guyam and Naked Island. You can also find many vendors in the streets of General Luna who will offer variety of foods.

Our first stop was Naked Island, a tiny strip of sand surrounded by crystal-clear waters. True to its name, there was nothing but pure, untouched beauty stretching out before us. We spent hours basking in the sun, snorkeling among colorful coral reefs, and marveling at the abundance of marine life that called these waters home. We also added in a stop by leaving extra early to Corregidor Island. It will make your day a lot longer and involves a short little hike but was something we want to see. I suggest it for adventures but not people like for chill island-hopping day if you plan to hit other three island as well. Visiting Corregidor Island might be a better choice.

Next on our itinerary was Daku island, the largest of the three islands we would visit. As we approached its shores, we were greeted by swaying palm trees and the inviting aroma of freshly grilled fish, succulent shrimps and sweat tropical fruits. The Corregidor Island is a 45-minutes boat ride from the harbor. It isn't part of the usual island hopping schedule and would be something you organize as an additional location. I wouldn't try and add it to the regular schedule as it can be quite a long day but I will show you what's like here in case you want to combine it with the tour.

But the highlight our island-hopping experience was undoubtedly Guyam Island, a hidden gem nestled among the waves. As our boat anchored offshore, we waded through knee-deep water to reach the island's white shores. With its palm-fringed beaches and shallow lagoons with colorful fish, it was like something out of a postcard. Guyam Island is the 3rd stop in our Island hoping tour. In the map of Siargao, you'll see how it's smaller compared to the nearby Daku Island. It may be small but there are plenty of thing to do here. If you still have a lot of energy you can play basketball and other ball games.

We spent the afternoon lounging in hammocks strung between palm trees, sipping on fresh coconut water, and playing in the gentle surf. As the day drew to a close and the sun began to dip below horizon, we reluctantly bid farewell to Guyam Island, knowing that we would carry the memories of this magical day with us forever. One of the unique things about this island is its rocky beach section. It has a nice white-sand beach but certain parts are full of solid rocks. you can sit on one of them near the sea and the gentle waves won't hit you. This will allow you to have a greater view of the horizon and listen to the soothing sounds of the waves without getting wet. A great spot to have a late afternoon walk.

As we made our way back to Siargao under a blanket of stars, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience such natural beauty. With its amazing beaches, lively marine life, and warm hospitality, Siargao had truly captured my heart, leaving me longing to return again and again. Siargao is pretty straightforward when it comes to picking a region to stay. 90% of people choose to stay somewhere near General Luna. All of the bars, restaurants, tours, ports, and hotels are near Genaral Luna and Cloud 9 surf break.
